The hostel was established in 2017 to help the tribal girls to get access to schools and colleges in the plains of Dimbhe and Ghodegaon.

The number of students cannot be increased due to lack of space and facilities.
Limited Facilities
Shortage of funds adversely affects our ability to provide even basic facilities to girls and carry out day to day hostel operation.

Staff members work without pay if needed, but never fall short in providing services for the hostel.

The Shashwat Model
This hostel helps the tribal girls to get access to schools and colleges in Dimbhe and Ghodegaon cities.
Hostel is open to girls of all ages. It mainly helps girls who are from severely underdeveloped communities like Katkaris, orphans, dam-affected families.
The STG Hostel aims at becoming a complete support center for the students and not restrict itself to provide only lodging and boarding facilities.

Regular monitoring of students' studies and exam preparation.

Various volunteers attached with the Shashwat Trust conduct teaching sessions for students in need.

Support for ensuring admission in schools and colleges is also provided.

Encouraging and supporting students to participate in the school or college-level cultural activities.

Computer training has been provided to the girls to make them accustomed to using technology. Currently, one computer terminal is available in the hostel.

Regular health check-up is done for the girl students, especially after they return from their villages.

Doctors are invited to the hostel premise to explain the health issues of women, especially related to age and growing-up.

Support is provided to take needy students to government hospitals for specialized treatment.

The volunteers of Lok Biradari organization from Pune regularly conduct weekend classes.
