Efforts to bring about a Lasting Change
Shashwat Trust, Junnar is a non-profit organization working for the development of tribal and dam affected families. Since 1999, our team are working for the tribals in the Ambegaon, Khed and Junnar blocks of Pune district in Maharashtra. In the year 2017, Shashwat Trust was formally established to institutionalize and expand the ongoing efforts.
Shashwat is involved in livelihood generation for dam displaced tribals in the region, creating new employment opportunities and skill development for women and young generation, Health, Education etc.
The journey started from the movement for the dam-affected families, today it is bringing development in 52 villages. Currently, 5 main projects and some other small projects are active in these villages. All these projects are improving the lives of about 3500 families.

'Shashwat Vikas' - sustainable development at the grass-root level. Shashwat strives to open the doors of opportunities and build social capital among the disadvantaged sections of society.

FOUNDER
Our Founder Shri. Budhaji Damse, (M.Com, Master in social work and master in journalism) is a full-time social worker since year1999. During his college days, he developed a strong understanding of tribal community problems. With an innate desire to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged people, he has developed a passion for social work.Shri.Budhaji has been working to achieve the goal of meaningful engagement with community people and other solution providers to share the fruits of the development process till the very last man and woman.
